I am 26 years old. My love for art began from the moment I could hold a pencil. My journey in art began at the young age of around 6 years old. I remember always coloring, tracing and drawing anything that my hands and eyes found fascinating. It wasn’t until the age of 11 that I found refuge in art and realized that I could draw well. Although I did not realize this fact on my own. I give all the credit to my “grandpa.” He was a wonderful artist who became my grandfather through love and not by blood. He encouraged me, gave me tools and advice, and most of all he helped me to realize the impact that art not only had on my life, but also the lives of others. I always say that art is my refuge in times of difficulty, heartache and when I get the sense of not belonging. I always knew that I could go home, begin painting and forget about the world. Thanks to art I always have a reason to maintain confidence in myself, stay motivated, and love life. One of my favorite parts of creating an art piece has always been the feedback that I receive. Some clients send me pictures of where they hang their pieces, while other clients send me videos of their loved ones reactions after receiving their gift (those tend to make me cry). The other is simply the gift itself. I thank God every day for giving me the ability and opportunity to create a special gift or memory for others that will last a lifetime. Art has always been there, it is my peace, my heart and my passion. Art is my refuge and my happiness. Art is my life.
